ELIZABETH PSIMAS – Founding President/CEO – opened Travel Designers in 1988 following a career with New Dimensions in Travel in Norfolk, VA, and Allied Transportation Company in Norfolk managing travel for over 200 barge/tugboat personnel.  Elizabeth is a native of Portsmouth and a graduate of Westhampton College of the University of Richmond.   In 1998 Elizabeth was named among the “Top 25 Business Women in Hampton Roads” by Virginia Business Magazine.  In 1999, she was named in the first class of women to be “Strong, Smart, and Bold” by Girls Inc, Center for Youth.  In 2003, Elizabeth was appointed by Virginia Governor Mark Warner to represent the City of Portsmouth on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel Commission, and in 2004 she was elected to the Portsmouth City Council. Elizabeth still serves today as a Portsmouth councilmember, as well as very generous with her time and talents to many civic and professional organizations.  Elizabeth has sailed on more than a dozen cruise lines and more than twenty cruises in all corners of the world.   She is well travelled in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and North America.  Most of her daily work is with incentive/cruise groups and high end vacation travel.

ALAN  PSIMAS – founding CFO – handles the administration, finance and reservations technology at Travel Designers.  Alan is a Portsmouth native who has previously served as President of the Olde Towne Business Association, director of the Portsmouth Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, and a director of Ports Events.  Alan has travelled throughout the Caribbean, Hawaii, China, Hong Kong, and the eastern coast of the African continent.

NANCY PSIMAS – Exec Assistant – Nancy retired from medical office administration in 2007 and joined the Travel Designers staff to assist the owners in all phases of management and marketing.  Nancy also handles escorted tour sales to South America and Australia, as she is well travelled in those areas.
